Arts in Popoli Terme – Thinking international

It might sound like an unbelievable anecdote, but it’s how everything began.

Arts in Popoli Terme started with a chance encounter at a post office in the Abruzzo hinterland, where a conversation in English ignited a fascinating artistic and communicative friendship.

Following the pandemic, we decided to take a significant step forward: why not establish an association dedicated to art and the local community?

Our association comprises artists and art enthusiasts alike. Some pursue art professionally, while others do so as a hobby, but our collective aim remains constant: to educate about art, promote emerging and underrepresented artists, and share the stories behind each artwork and artist.

Our goal is to foster social and cultural development in our local area, with a particular emphasis on contemporary visual arts through various initiatives such as artistic events, artist residency programs, exhibitions, and art workshops.

While we strive to establish a creative hub in Popoli Terme, located within the Majella National Park in Abruzzo, Italy, our vision extends globally as we aim to build a diverse, boundary-free community united by a shared passion for art
